Valais Origin & Information

The Valais Blacknose Sheep, known for distinctive unique appearance and friendly demeanor, hails from the Valais region of Switzerland.

 

This breed is easily recognizable by its striking black face and legs, contrasted by its fluffy white wool, which is not only beautiful but is also durable. Mostly used in carpet or rug making.

 

Valais Blacknose Sheep gentle and sociable animals, making them excellent for both farmers and families alike.

Their calm temperament and unique markings have made them a beloved breed among sheep enthusiasts around the world.

​Valais Blacknose sheep are a horned breed, with both ewes and rams showcasing impressive horns. These horns are typically well-formed and spiral, adding to the breed's distinctive appearance. The presence of horns in both is a unique characteristic that sets them apart from many other sheep breeds. This feature not only enhances their aesthetic appeal but also reflects their robust genetics and adaptability in various environments

Our Story

Welcome to our Valais sheep breeding journey!

In December 2022, we received our first shipment of imported genetics from the UK, leading to the birth of 14 beautiful pure Valais lambs in July 2023.

With our growing numbers, we have ewes and rams available throughout the year.
