Meet the Breeders

Alora Prestige Studs is owned and operated by Alicia McConnell & David Whittaker.

Based in Dubbo, Central Western NSW.

It has taken the best part of 3 years to get to where we are today but its been a very rewarding journey.

Both of us were born and bred on a farm and have a real passion for livestock & farming.

We started out as a commercial sheep & cattle operation; to fulfilling the dream of owning Valais.

We are members of Valais Blacknose Australia Ltd & more recently became members of Australian Corriedale Association as well.

With the help of Artificial Breeding, we were able to welcome our first F1 (First Cross) Valais in August of 2022 - using Corriedales as our base.

We also had our first shipment of Pure Valais genetics arriving just 3 days before Christmas 2022.

We implanted these embryos in March - with a 67% take rate. In July 2023 we welcomed our very first Purebred Valais to the farm.

Early 2024 our next shipment of embryos arrived and with the pure lambs being born later that year.

Our last embryo imports were implanted in February 2025.
