Alora Prestige Studs are proud to be apart of the Valais Breed Up Program in Australia.

The breed up program works by joining a ewe of a different breed to a pure Valais ram - creating a 50/50 cross.
This is called an F1

As you keep breeding back to the Valais ram the closer you get to becoming a pure Valais.

A F1 breeds a F2

A F2 breeds a F3

A F3 breeds a F4

and a F4 breeds a F5; which is considered pure.

​

It is a slower process to reach the pure grade but more affordable.
